The XIXth Meeting of the Managing Committee of the North Goa District Mineral Foundation Trust (NGDMFT) was chaired by Shri Ankit Yadav, IAS, Chairperson, NGDMFT/Collector, North Goa. The Committee reviewed the implementation of sanctioned DMF projects with a cumulative value of over ₹15 crore, covering education, agriculture, renewable energy, environment, livelihoods, skill development, dairy development and welfare sectors.

The Managing Committee also recommended new projects of over ₹10 crore to the Governing Council, including strengthening infrastructure at Government Polytechnic Bicholim, convergence initiatives in agriculture and rooftop solar, sanitation, environmental preservation and pollution control in Sanquelim Municipal Council, skill development through DSDE, DRDA, DHTC, etc., healthcare strengthening at CHC Bicholim, including medical equipment and a dedicated Truenat room, livelihood and dairy projects through Goa Dairy, and support for special schools. Other proposals include improving accessibility of Panchayat buildings in the mining belt and scholarships for Mining Engineering students at Goa Engineering College.

The Committee also discussed the process for formulation of the Perspective Plan and Annual Action Plan of NGDMFT, aimed at systematic identification of needs, prioritisation of interventions and effective allocation of DMF funds across priority sectors in mining-affected areas.

The meeting was attended by Ex-Officio Members/Trustees of NGDMFT, officers of various Government Departments and representatives of the concerned project-executing departments
