North Goa Collector Dr. Sneha Gitte, IAS, inaugurated a special awareness program “UTSAV 2024” (#ChunavKaParv Desh Ka Garv) today. This initiative is part of the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) program organized by the Office of the Dy. Collector & SDO, Bicholim, in collaboration with the Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) of the 3rd Bicholim, 16th Maem, and 17th Sanquelim Assembly Constituencies, under the guidance of the District Election Officer North Goa.
The “UTSAV 2024” program aims to raise awareness and encourage voter participation in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024. The event included:
- Inauguration Ceremony: Dr. Sneha Gitte addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of informed voting and responsible participation in the democratic process.
- Voters Awareness Rally: A rally was held from Ravindra Bhavan to the Government College of Arts, Science & Commerce in Sankhali. This rally aimed to generate enthusiasm and encourage residents to register and cast their votes in the upcoming elections.
- Participation: All AEROs from the three participating Assembly Constituencies, along with Dr. Sneha Gitte and other dignitaries, participated in the rally.
This initiative signifies North Goa’s commitment to conducting free and fair elections with maximum voter participation.
