A two-days training workshop for Government officials organized by the Department of Information and Publicity (DIP) began today at the training hall, Directorate of Accounts, Kautilya Lekha Bhavan, Porvorim. The training covered various modules on how each Government Department has to update the official Government telephone directory using the online mode. The gathering was also informed of the facility that will soon be available through a mobile app.

The resource persons for the training were members from Demerg Systems India, namely CEO, Shri Mohnish Vassudev Ghodekar, Technical Lead and Senior Software Programmer, Shri Kishan Naik, Senior Software Programmer, Ms. Shloka Neugi and Software Programmer/Mobile app developer, Shri Brijesh Rane.

The Department of Information and Publicity has recently designed an online telephone directory application for the State incorporating details of the State Government Departments to facilitate citizens for online search of telephone numbers including address, websites, email IDs of the respective Departments.
