Revenue Department along with officials of Pollution control board and local bodies conducted inspections in the Chitrashalas of Tiswadi and Bardez Taluka today to ensure that POP idols are not sold during the annual Ganesh Chaturthi festival.
These inspections will be conducted all across the District and action under the relevant provisions of the Environment (Protection) Act,1986 will be taken against such establishments who display/sell POP idols.
