Porvorim, Goa – As part of the Vanamohotsav celebrations, Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte led a green initiative emphasizing the deep bond between humans and nature, and the urgent need for forest conservation. The event saw the planting of saplings and distribution of fruit-bearing plants to local residents, encouraging the Porvorkar community to contribute to increasing green cover in the region.
The function was graced by the Sarpanchs and Panch members of Socorro, Penha De Franca, and Salvador Do Mundo Panchayats, along with enthusiastic participation from nature-loving citizens. The initiative highlighted the collective responsibility in preserving the environment and building a greener, healthier Goa.
