Goa Investment Promotion Board’s 39th Meeting Focuses on Jobs and Entrepreneurship

Panaji, June 27, 2025: The 39th meeting of the Goa Investment Promotion Board (Goa-IPB) was chaired by Chief Minister Shri Pramod Sawant at Mantralaya. The session was attended by Industries Minister Shri Mauvin Godinho, GIDC Chairman Shri Aleixo Reginaldo, and key officials.

During the meeting, various proposals aimed at boosting investment in the state were discussed. The board emphasized strategies to create new job opportunities and encourage entrepreneurship among Goans. This aligns with the state’s broader goal of fostering industrial growth and employment, as highlighted in recent approvals of major projects in sectors like pharmaceuticals, warehousing, machine tools, and beverage manufacturing123.

The Chief Minister reiterated the importance of prioritizing local employment and supporting entrepreneurship, in line with Goa’s vision for economic development and self-reliance. The meeting also reviewed ongoing efforts to streamline investment processes and ensure maximum benefits for the local population.

Recent initiatives include granting industry status to the logistics sector and expanding eco-tourism projects, further showcasing Goa’s attractiveness as both an industrial and tourism
