As part of the Wildlife Week Celebrations 2026, the DCF Wildlife & Eco Tourism (South) Division organised an inclusive nature experience for students with special needs from Lokvishwas Pratishthan Special School at Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary.
The students embarked on a bus safari to Bela Lake, immersing themselves in the serene beauty of Goa’s forests and experiencing its rich natural heritage. The visit also included an engaging tour of the butterfly garden, offering the students an opportunity to discover the fascinating world of butterflies.
Adding a creative touch to the day, the students participated in a fun leaf painting activity, expressing their imagination and appreciation for nature through art.
The initiative highlighted the importance of making Goa’s wildlife and eco tourism experiences accessible to all, while nurturing curiosity, creativity and a lasting connection with nature among young minds.
