The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI), Government of India, in coordination with the Office of the Collector & District Magistrate, South Goa District, organised a capacity-building programme for State Nodal Authorities, District Authorities and Implementing Agencies on the Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) and eSAKSHI Portal at Benaulim, South Goa.
Representatives from Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Kerala, Telangana and Tamil Nadu, along with the Union Territory of Lakshadweep discussed on various aspects of MPLADS, including processing of recommendations, sanction and implementation of eligible works, procurement procedures, financial management, monitoring and effective utilisation of the eSAKSHI Portal.
The programme facilitated interaction among the participating authorities and implementing agencies, providing an opportunity to exchange experiences, discuss practical challenges and seek clarifications on issues related to the implementation of MPLADS and use of the eSAKSHI Portal. The sessions also promoted coordination and sharing of best practices among the stakeholders.
