Union Minister of Home & Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah inaugurated the E-Witness Room at the North Goa Collectorate during the launch of Mhaje Ghar Scheme, in the presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant , Union MoS for Power and NRE, Shri Shripad Naik, Minister of Revenue, Shri. Atanasio Monserrate and other dignitaries.
The facility, developed under the guidance of the Collector and SP, North Goa has been established under the new criminal laws — Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) — to enable seamless digital witness testimony, ensuring privacy, speed and fairness in trials.
