Mamlatdar of Sattari, the Joint Mamlatdar of Sattari, and the Health Inspector of CHC Valpoi, in cooperation with the Valpoi Police conducted COTPA raids at various locations in Sattari taluka, and fines were imposed for smoking in public places and for vendors not displaying ‘No Smoking’ boards.
A total fine of ₹1,000/- was imposed for various violations under the COTPA Act.
An awareness drive was conducted to educate the public and vendors about the provisions of the Act and the importance of maintaining smoke-free public spaces.
