Shri. Ramesh Gaonkar, Additional Collector -II, South Goa chaired a Meeting regarding Action to Stop Menace against stray dogs in South Goa District.
Following issues were decided during the meeting.
1. The Chief officer of Municipal council and BDO’s to submit the data of areas vulnerable to stray dogs attack by 29th September.
2. The feeder list to be submitted by Executive secretary DSPCA.
3. Schedule to be prepared for Vaccination and Sterilization drives and municipalities and BDOs to provide support with manpower.
4. The DSPCA member secretary and Executive secretary to visit the premises to be utilized for sterilization of dogs along with the Project Director DRDA.
5. Meeting to be conducted by BDO’s with Panchayats for effective waste management.
6. Animal Husbandry and Veterinary service department to be involved in allocation of funds.
All the concerned were directed to adhere to the above directions.
