Goa State Film Festival 2025 to be held from 14th to 17th August
The 10th, 11th, and 12th editions of the Goa State Film Festival will take place from 14th to 17th August 2025, celebrating the vibrant film culture of Goa. The festival will showcase Goan regional language films in Konkani and Marathi, along with a host of workshops, In-Conversation sessions, and Master Classes by eminent film personalities.
Film screenings will be held at Maquinez Palace Theatre, Panaji and INOX, Panaji.
This year’s competition features 21 awards in the feature film category and 7 awards in the non-feature category. Competing for these honors are 19 feature films and 4 non-feature films.
Feature Films in Competition:
Questaio de Confusao, Miranda House, Kaajro, 7 Dayz, Juze, Amori (Dusk), Chopadi, Glory, Mopa Diary, Amizade, Bade Abbu, D’Costa House, Pedru Poder, Ransaavat, Fotting No. 1, Gang, Tem’ Battle of Egos, Crazy Mogi, MOG.
Non-Feature Fitlms in Competition:
Wagro, Goy: Swatantryach e Homkhan, Gathan, Kupamcho Daryeo.
In addition to screenings, the festival will host workshops and masterclasses, including:
- Workshop: Painting with Light: Cinematography as the Soul of Cinema by Shri Neelaabh Kaul – 15th Aug, 10:30 AM, ESG.
- Masterclass: Understanding the Power of Cinema Through Its Elements by Pankaj Saxena – 16th Aug, 11:30 AM, ESG.
- Masterclass on Acting by Veteran Actor Mr. Kanwarjit Paintal – 16th Aug, 10:00 AM, ESG.
- Masterclass on Movie Action by Shri Chitah Yajnesh Shetty – 17th Aug, 10:00 AM, ESG.
