A training programme was successfully conducted for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and BLO Supervisors of the 09-Porvorim Assembly Constituency in view of the upcoming Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls. The training was held in accordance with the schedule and guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India (ECI) for the State of Goa.
The session was jointly conducted by Dr. Mriselda Monteiro, Deputy Director, Department for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities & Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) for 09-Porvorim AC, and Ms. Dayle Rebello, Joint Mamlatdar & Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AERO) for 09-Porvorim AC.
The training took place at the Village Panchayat Hall, Socorro, Porvorim, Goa, under the supervision of the Chief Electoral Office and the District Election Office, North Goa. The objective of the programme was to equip the BLOs and supervisors with the necessary knowledge and skills to carry out error-free, accurate, and efficient electoral roll management during the upcoming revision process.
National-level Master Trainer Shri Mangish Prabhudessai delivered the training, providing detailed insights into the latest ECI guidelines and best practices for the Special Intensive Revision exercise. The session focused on hands-on training and clarifications of duties and responsibilities to ensure thorough preparedness.
The programme concluded with an interactive session, allowing participants to address queries and seek clarifications regarding their roles during the revision process.
